First off, I need to explain how you Metabolism works. Metabolism is the way your body reacts to the food you eat to sustain life. Depending on your metabolic rate, you may eat lots of food and still maintain a figure or maybe you don’t require as much food as some people. Metabolism is designed to keep the fats in you body level.
This is where calorie shifting comes in. Your metabolism becomes complacent and preserves the fats which makes it very hard to continue to loose weight after some time. Just because your are eating less calories then before doesn’t guarantee you weight loss. Eventually you metabolism will figure it out and adapt.
The secret is to trick your metabolism. You do so by changing up the amount of calories you eat to keep your metabolism changing. For example you could eat well one day, not over eating but feeling full and happy, then the next day you would change it up eating 30% less calories than normal.
Pairing this method with a low carb diet may work because the lower amount of carbs will cause you body to not be so hungry, even if you haven’t had as much as you usually would.
